This, very humorous, short video clip is simple footage of a cat with a man’s voice-over throughout the clip. The author is reading as if he were the voice of this cat.
He talks throughout the video clip of what cats should do to take care of a human; or as the video clip is titled, “A Cat’s Guide To Taking Care Of Your Human.” The voice-over is uniquely written, as well as hilarious. What makes the cat tips so funny is that each ‘cat tip’ is related to what cats are well known for doing to their owners. For example, when people are reading or using the computer, cats are known for attempting to intervene with the person’s actions.
This is one of the cat’s tips: “Humans often stare at random, inanimate objects for hours at a time. Your duty is to break this spell… Or perhaps the worst offender of these objects is the light box [laptop or computer screen].
You must remind them that boxes don’t need light; you just need the light of your imagination.” The voice-over of this cat continues on with different ‘cat tips’ including why cats must lick humans (because a human’s tongue has no purpose), humans are hairless and why cats should donate extra fur to their “body blankets” [clothing], and why cats must sit on humans’ faces (so they “do not freeze to death” [because of a lack of hair]).
This cat then states all cats will abide by these rules with the occasional help from their owner of opening their cans of food and having a clean litter box. It is not until the end of the clip that the viewer realizes that this short video clip is an add for a newly improved, lightweight litter.
