Cats are a special breed. Their level of independence often borders on sheer insolence. They are known to want to come and go as they please with all the rebelliousness of a fiery teenager.
That is quite apparent in this short video clip. While the origins of the video aren’t known, it is certain that this cat doesn’t have much a temperament for meowing. Rather, it elongates a typical meow into what sounds like a babbling barrage of human-like syllables.
If it were a human being, one might mistake its manner of speech for the low-toned grunts some people make as they meditate or which some religious sects utter while speaking in tongues. However, this cat knows that it can use the babbling rant to get her masters attention. The video begins as the cat is outside the house it lives in. It wants to come back inside the house and launches into its loquacious monologue.
The cat even hops up on guard rail of the deck and gently taps on the screen door with its paw. While the master watches it and asks aloud what it wants, it flashes its teeth at her while continuing to make its odd brand of sounds.
It’s at that point the owner gets somewhat cross and rebukes the cat telling it not to hiss at her. Undaunted, the cat continues to make its case to reenter the house. It is quite obvious that this is a strong willed cat used to getting its way. Watch it and see if you can make out any English words from the feline drivel.
