The first ever nationwide march for a presidential candidate recently took place with thousands of people in 35 American cities participated in the March for Bernie Sanders. Despite the fact that pictures from the march have been posted on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and other social networking sites, the media has been silent about it.
The event was also live-streamed on Saturday, January 22, 2016. Bernie Sanders thanked his supporters for participating in the march. The event took place one week before the Iowa caucuses. The only publicity the event got was on social media.
The March for Bernie Sanders was a public event on Facebook, and thousands of people stated that they were going. In fact, it is estimated that over 1,100 people in Boston attended the event. Thousands of people in Chicago also attended the event. It featured local activists, and one person spoke about why she supported Bernie Sanders. The march shows how dedicated Bernie’s supporters are.
The weather was not the best in Buffalo, New York during the march, but over 500 people still came and supported it. The people came out in 20 degree weather and several inches of snow to show support for the candidate they love.
