Ted Cruz is coming out and saying that he is being demonized when he shouldn’t be.
During a Senate debate Chuck Shumer said Cruz is taking a piecemeal approach to funding the government. He went onto say”
“To deprive our national parks of dollars by advocating shutting the government down and then accuse others, who don’t want to leave 98 percent of the government behind and of the people who work there behind and of the American people who depend on so many other programs — whether it’s student loans or feeding the hungry — is wrong,”
The two argued about the proposal to fund the government. Schumer said a proposal he had suggested has already been approved by Senate and majority of the house members.
Cruz, however refused to modify his side of the deal and said advocating government shutdown was not something he believed in.
He gave the excuse that he’s been viewed as wanting it as ““Because so many Democrats have invoked my name as the root of all evil in the world.”
