VIDEO: The Moment Man Has Bandages Removed From His Eyes And Sees Family For The First Time

Sometimes people can take such things as the ability to see for granted. When the doctor removed the bandages from 69 year old grandfather Winesi March’s eyes, he gestured to all the loved ones gathered around him and started laughing.

Mr. March had a medical condition commonly known as cataracts, over time the lenses in the eyes start turning filmy and require lens replacement.

This unveiling was the first time in many years that Mr. March could see his family clearly. A Female loved one started singing a joyous song and dancing. She helped Mr. March off the gurney and he started dancing with her.

The rest of his family joined in the singing and dancing much to the staffs’ enjoyment.

Mr. March’s surgery was made possible by an organization named Sightsavers. Sightsavers is an organization that relies partially on donations and works in third world countries to help restore and save the sight of those residents who would not have been able to afford proper optometry care. Mr. March’s sight was remarkably affordable. The total price to fund his surgery was less than fifty dollars. Organizations like Sightsavers are making a difference in many third world countries.
