Ellen Gives 22-Year-Old Single Mom The Shock Of Her Life! I LOVE ELLEN!

Everyone has heard of paying it forward, doing something good for your fellow man, and stepping outside yourself to help others. This week, Ellen shocks a 22 year old single mom from Concord, NH. Sarah Hoidahl, a waitress in Concord, overheard two of her patrons talking about their struggles due to the government shut down, Hoidahl decided to pay it forward and pay the bill for the two National Guard members from her own pocket.

Hoidahl had struggles of her own but decided that she wanted to do something nice for the two Guard members that were struggling. Without telling them she was doing it, she picked up the $27.75 tab and told them to have a great day. Her story spread to social media where the producers at the Ellen DeGeneres show caught wind of it.

After her story spread like wild fire and Ellen DeGeneres heard about it, Ellen decided that she wanted to reward Sarah’s kindness so she flew her out to the show. Sarah was happy enough to be on the show and to enjoy the sights without anything else happening. Once Sarah arrived, Ellen repaid the tab giving her the initial $27.75 in cash followed by a check for $10,000.

Sarah was quickly overwhelmed by the seriously generous gift and started to cry. Burying her face in her hands, Hoidahl did not know how to express her thanks to Ellen. It is stories like these that let the world know that even though there are horrible things happening around us, there are still great people out there that just want to help.
