VIDEO: You Won’t Believe The Reason This Cop Held This Mom And 4 Kids At Gunpoint

Forney, Texas – According to a report by local ABC affiliate WFAA, a mother and her four children were pulled over by police officers as they were driving home in their red Nissan Maxima earlier this month.

Officers had received a phone call that a white or tan van carrying four Black men had one of the occupants brandishing a firearm outside the window. Officers responded with an immediate search for the armed suspect. What is unclear is why they pulled over the car Kametra Barbour was driving.

It neither fit the make, model, size, and color of the vehicle carrying the armed suspect. The only color in common is the skin color as Mrs. Barbour and her children are black. The phone call to police claimed the gun toting vehicle was occupied by men. Mrs. Barbour’s four children are all under age ten.

Further exacerbating matters is the fact that the police officer ordered Mrs. Barbour to walk back from his car and then placed handcuffs on her in front of her children. One of her sons exited the car with his hands up pleading with officers not to fire upon him. It evoked images of the recent Michael Brown incident.

In the end, officers realized they had pulled over the wrong person and let the family resume their journey. For her part, Mrs. Barbour is outraged over the incident and views it as a case of racism. It is unclear what actions if any Mrs. Barbour may take as a result of the incident.
