Aberdeen, Scotland – A 38-year-old woman went to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in this port city of 220,000 people complaining of pain, continence problems, weight loss, and lack of strength or lethargy. Physicians took x-rays of the woman and discovered a foreign object in her vaginal tract nestled close to her bladder.
It turned out to be a 5-inch (11 cm) long sex toy. If that wasn’t embarrassing enough, the women last recalled using it ten years prior. She confessed that she was blotto at the time of the incident when she and her paramour made use of it. However, due to her level of intoxication at the time, she couldn’t recall ever removing the item.
Now, removing the item wasn’t as simple as it was to place the item in her vaginal canal. Doctors determined that she suffered from two conditions. One is called vesicovaginal fistula which is an alternate urinary tract allowing urine to leak into the vaginal canal. The other was obstructive uropathy which can cause urine to feed back into the kidneys. They stated that the conditions were a threat to her health and life. Thankfully, the foreign object and the two medical conditions were corrected during surgery and she has since returned home.
As odd as it sounds for her to have a foreign toy inside her for so long, she was tested and found to have an intelligent IQ. Nor was she suffering from any depression. It was an odd occurrence, but it did lead doctors to treat two conditions that should help promote better health for her going forward.
