The Benham brothers, David and Jason were on their way to become rising stars on HGTV.
However, that became a thing of the past when the two brothers announced their stance on gay marriage. The pair had their show canceled by HGTV due to their public hatred of homosexuality. David and Jason believe that the message they are sending across the Christian community shows their bravery towards upholding traditional religious values. They believe that in order to be free, you have to be willing to let go of what you have make a sacrifice.
The brothers believe that you have to be willing to lose it all for the sake getting America “back on track.” The two are being viewed in the Christian community as Christian martyrs for taking a bold stand in support of what they believe. They even made a statement that you should go as far as being willing to die to ban gay marriages from being legalized. What were the brothers willing to lose? According to them, they are willing to lose their show, book deals, endorsements and whatever else it takes to take a stand.
They believe that all Christians should follow their lead and sacrifice as they have for this agenda. Their goal was not to be popular but to stand up for what they believe in.
They feel if people remain silent things will only get worse. The two will continue to publicly oppose legalizing gay marriages no matter what it costs them.
