VIDEO: You’ll never guess who saved this goat from drowning. I Never Saw That Coming!

A video has surfaced from an incident that occurred at a local petting zoo. A baby goat had slipped and fallen into a small pond. The goat was crying out in distress from the semi-deep pond water. Perhaps it was crying out to its mother for assistance. Help came, but it was in the form of a pig.

The bright pink pig hopped into the water and paddled its way to the baby goat. The pig seemed to have a calming effect on the victim because it stopped making distress calls once it noticed the pig closing in on it.

The pig seemed to nudge it in the right direction so that it reached the end of the pond where both the goat and pig exited the waters. It was a simple gesture, but sometimes it only takes a small motion to make the difference between life and death. As the pig exited the water, the man video filming the incident is overheard saying: “There goes the hero pig!” It’s little incidents like this that are heart-warming when one species can respond to the needs of a creature from a completely different species.

It just goes to show that you never can tell what form that “guardian angel” may take and size often doesn’t matter. It didn’t in a recent case where a young boy was playing in the driveway of his home when a neighborhood dog came up on him in attack mode. The dog was driven off by his much smaller pet cat who suddenly channeled his inner lion to drive off the much larger dog.
