At Loebies Guesthouse and Predator Park in the Limpopo Provence of South Africa, owner Annel Snyman, age 32, invites an array of furry friends in to be rescued or nursed back to health.
Being surrounded by big cats is an everyday occurrence for Annel, who treats all the animals at the location like her own pets. Even letting the little ones sleep in her bed so that they will stay comfortable and feel protected at all times.
Currently there is a baby cub named Robyn at the park who has made some unlikely friends. Robyn has become best buddies with a mob of meerkats, and the resident babysitter, Annel’s dog Diesel. The meerkats and the baby lion playing together without fear is a heartwarming sight to see and reminiscent of the iconic characters from Disney’s The Lion King.
The video of the meerkats welcoming the baby lion into their home has gone viral online and is sure to warm the hearts of anyone who watches it. This is another fine example of animals showing humans the corret way to treat others who are different than you are, and even though society thinks that we should be enemies, friendship and understanding can help to break down all types of barriers.
