VIDEO: What These Puppies Did To This Injured Dog Had Me Grabbing For A Box Of Tissues

Tony is a dog with a tragic backstory, but a hopefully bright future. When Tony showed up at Animal Aid Unlimited, he was horribly injured.

The injuries are gruesome to see. Thus, they opted to not post pictures on the website. He was not initially expected to live. But amputation of his severely injured leg saved him from dying of infection. A large gash on his face was also closed. As is normal for a creature that has been through something truly awful, Tony was initially very untrusting, afraid and uncooperative.

He initially did not even want to eat. But after a few weeks of devoted, loving care, he is healing nicely and, with the help of a bunch of adorable, fluffy puppies, his personality and disposition are also coming around. The video starts with a brief disturbing photo of condition he was in when he arrived at Animal Aid Unlimited.

It is followed by two minutes of film showing him playing happily with smaller, younger dogs and soaking up their innocence and emotional warmth. This is a much needed form of psychiatric care for a little dog who needs more than just physical healing after so much unspeakable trauma.

This is just one example of the compassionate care provided to injured animals by this organization in India. It is very touching and heart-warming. Their work with animals goes beyond just physical care of the animals. It raises the bar to a higher level than just medical treatment and food.
