Poor Sarah Palin. She means well, she really does. She believes in her country 150%, because to her that makes sense.
And believing in your country is all well and good, as long as that country and its ideals exist outside of your mind as well. Unfortunately for her, that isn’t the case. Most recently Sarah Palin brought The Washington Post to task, imploring them to investigate “President Obama’s abuses of power and…numerous impeachable offenses.”
Surely, she says, an institution as bent on investigation of truth as the one that revealed Nixon for the scoundrel he was would be equally as capable of exposing President Obama.
Cut to The Washington Post patting Sarah Palin on the head and telling her to ‘run along and play.” The stinging digs that the former Alaskan Governor attempted fell far flat.
The Post weathered that storm well. And since there are no impeachable offenses or abuse of power, there is nothing to investigate. And, since they had nothing to investigate, they had time to remind Palin of a few things. She has, in the past, lauded The Post for its exposing a policy failure of the Obama Administration.
Then, not even a month later, she called them “wusses” for not investigating her trumped up charges. Sarah Palin lives in the moment. You have to respect her for that. Now if only the American public could get her to just remember the past few moments as well.
