VIDEO: She Dumbs A Can Of Soda On Chicken Wings. The Reason Why? YUMMY!

Now there’s another use for the can of Coca-Cola in the back of your fridge: seasoning your dinner. In a “Cooking With May Lynn” video, May Lynn takes us through her mother’s recipe for Coca-Cola chicken wings.

It’s super-simple to do, and something that even the most novice chef can probably handle. To start, you take some chicken wings and cover them in soy sauce. Let them sit for 15 minutes so the soy sauce really starts to absorb into the chicken and season it.

Once the 15 minutes are done, you pan fry the chicken wings. During the frying process you’re not trying to cook the chicken all the way through. Instead, you’re just trying to give it a good crispy outlet layer.

Pan fry the wings for 5 minutes on each side to build a good crispy outer later. Then, add a bit more soy sauce and one cup of Coke to the pan and allows the wings to sit in the mixture for another 15 minutes. You’ll want to keep the wings on a medium heat so the mixture is warm, but not boiling or continuing to fry. After 15 minutes, remove your wings from the pan and get ready to enjoy an amazing sweet and salty treat!
