A soldier shows his patriotism and strict respect for his country when he confronts a giggling and murmuring crowd in this new video. The video starts with a shot of a soldier walking in a straight line in a militaristic fashion, apparently performing a ceremony of some kind. A few seconds into the tape we can hear the crowd start to make noise as there are a handful of people joking amongst themselves.
The soldier decides to make a bold move and interrupts his stride to confront the crowd. He turns with precision and takes a dominant and demanding voice toward the crowd stating, “It is requested that everyone maintains a level of silence and respect.”
He then pauses for a second with his rifle before turning and continuing on with his march. It is quite funny what happens as a result of this confrontation by the soldier. The murmuring crowd suddenly goes completely silent, as if you could hear a pin drop and it remains that way for the remainder of the video.
The video wraps up with the soldier finishing his walk and turn, while putting his rifle over his shoulder with total and complete attention and respect from the stunned crowd. This video is reminiscent of high school days, when getting yelled at by an instructor for being loud in class was the norm.
The soldier’s words are a refreshing reminder to always be attentive and respectful when someone else has the floor.
