Christopher Duffley is no ordinary child. Born blind and autistic, his ability to benefit society was doubtful.
After praying for guidance, his deeply religious aunt and her family welcomed him into their family saying “Steve(husband) and I both felt that by inviting Christopher into our family, we were also obeying the voice of God.” Now, what may have started as merely “obeying the voice of God”, has turned into a joyous and enlightening experience for many more than just the family. Christopher was born three months pre-mature, with cocaine in his system, and weighing less than two pounds.
Around first grade it was discovered that Christopher has perfect pitch. Now he sings his messages at various churches and benefits, sharing his insight and hope to people across the country. Even at such a young age, he has already released an album and has a YouTube channel and a website; just search his name.
As he sings I Can Only Imagine, Christopher Duffley is an inspiring reminder of the struggles in life that someone can face and overcome.
With a little support and strength, the world is an opportunity for any who are brave enough to try. Maybe this is a reminder that sometimes our eyes can fool us into thinking that we see; maybe this is a call to arms for all those who think they can’t; but one thing is for sure, this truly amazing child proves that sometimes imagination and faith are all you need.
