Pat Robertson is making headlines again as the televangelist warns a viewer about lesbians.
A woman called the show asking if she should remain close with her friend from childhood, even thought she’s a lesbian and she doesn’t approve of her lifestyle. She’s also worried about having her friend and her “partner” around her children.
Robertson’s advice was to not “shun” her, “but at the same time, you don’t want your children to grow up as lesbians.” He said “That’s what you’re talking about. You don’t want to show them that that’s an acceptable lifestyle for your family.” He says she should be honest with her friend. “It doesn’t hurt to tell somebody, ‘Look, I love you and we’re going to do what we can to be friends if we can, but I have my lifestyle, it’s Christian. And you have yours, it’s not. And so, I’m sorry, we can’t indulge in certain things together.’”
Robertson is sure that her friend will admire and respect her honesty.
