Boys seem to find a million ways to get into trouble or do some really questionable things! So, it comes to no surprise at all what boys will do to keep their secrets hidden.
As for Louis King, his secret was kept for a week before his pain finally got the best of him. The wrath of his grandmother would be less painful than the pain he began feeling in his ear. Kids in general find it amusing to stick things into the holes and openings of their bodies.
In this case, this boy decided to stick something into his ear. At first, everyone thought it was a pencil because that was the story told by Louis. But upon further investigation, the doctor in the ER room had found a small watch battery lodged into his ear canal.
Now, there are times where things stuck in your ear aren’t as bad as they seem. However, there were some consequences for his actions and the poor boy had actually ruptured his eardrum.
But, there was some light at the end of the tunnel. Apart from learning a very valuable lesson, Louis was also saved from not losing any of his hearing abilities which could have been the worst case scenario in an accident like this. His ear will heal in a couple of weeks, but the lesson learned that day will be with him for the rest of his life.
