Nancy Grace is a former prosecutor turned crime journalist who is never at a loss for words when it comes to injustice. When interviewed by CNN’s Brooke Baldwin, she essentially said what many American’s have been uttering, and that is, Officer Darren Wilson’s story simply doesn’t add up.
Grace is always quick to defend the actions of most police incidents knowing there is truth to be had behind the badge. So for her to counter otherwise is somewhat unusual. She stated she is never one to go against the cops, but after examining the photos of Officer Darren Wilsons face, Grace felt there was more to the story.
She also stated that the photos of Wilson’s face shows nothing but a touch of redness, NOT the marks of a melee as indicated by Wilson’s statements. Being a former prosecutor herself, she is apt to detect idiosyncratic missteps in the justice system, and felt that the prosecutor in this case had simply failed at defining the case to the grand jury, leading to Officer Darren Wilson not being indicted on the charge of murder.
That, in and of itself, was enough to touch off protests across the nation, leading to numerous businesses being looted, then burned amidst angry and sometimes violent protest in defiance of the grand jury decision.
