VIDEO: Iraq War Vet’s Touching Tribute to America Gets a Standing Ovation And It Left Me Crying

Noah Galloway is a veteran of the Iraq War who has sacrificed a great deal so that the citizens of this country could be safe from harm.

In 2005, Galloway lost his left leg and left arm when a roadside bomb exploded.

However, this did not stop him from showcasing his moves on the popular reality show on ABC, “Dancing with the Stars.” He was on an episode that requested that their contestants would incorporate their experiences into their performances by using past struggles as inspirations.

The way that Noah Galloway expressed himself on the stage was very touching, so much so that he got a standing ovation.

He performed to “American Hero” by Toby Keith. It was not easy, physically or emotionally, for him to get on the stage and do this, but he did it and gave everyone a fantastic show. He chose this song because he felt it was a great expression of what he has dealt with in his own life, and he also wanted to pay homage to other United States soldiers.

He has struggled a great deal to accept what has happened to him, stating “I really looked in the mirror and quit looking at what I was missing and paid more attention to what I still had left, I realized I had to make a change and it had to happen fast.” Clearly, he has a great attitude and has decided to make an experience that would have destroyed most a positive one.
