Kevin Elliot was a British soldier who was being deployed to Afghanistan, when his best friends Barry Delaney agreed in the pact that if he was killed serving his country, he would wear a tacky dress to the funeral service.
That is exactly what Barry Delaney did when his best friend was killed during that war. When the fallen soldier was being laid to rest, Barry showed up to the service in a tight green dress that draw attention from everyone in the crowd.
Barry even wore hot pink socks to really complete the tacky look, and everyone in attendance was well aware of this strange pact the two friends had. Everyone who was reached for comment simply states they admired the young man for following through on his commitment to his best friend.
