This Story Should Dominate News/Media Until Trump Is Sworn In

Since Donald Trump has been elected as the next President of the United States of America, the media has been in a frenzy with all kinds of stories ranging from what his policies may be to people in the streets protesting his appointment. One story, an important story, about Trump and his association with Russian officials.

A recent interview with Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, a senior Russian diplomat, revealed that Trump and his team were in contact with Russian officials. Ryabkov said that they are familiar with most of the people in Trump’s entourage and that they are working to build a dialogue with the members for future purposes. Hope Hicks, a spokeswoman on Trump’s team, denied any contact between President-elect Trump and Russian officials had occurred before the election took place.

The Foreign Ministry was later asked to clarify what Ryabkov meant with his comments however Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry declined to elaborate.

Instead, Zakharova responded with a statement saying that it is standard for Presidential candidates to meet with members of the staff and to be in contact with them to clarify statements as well as other matters. Clinton denied a meeting with Russian officials, unlike Trump, as well as denied contact with them being a standard part of running for Presidency.
