Marion Roberts is 95-years-old and living in Crossroads Hospice where she is receiving hospice care. Recently Marion got to have one of her biggest wishes come true. Crossroads Hospice likes to ask their patients what a “perfect day” to them would look like and do their best to make that perfect day happen.
With Marion, her perfect day mostly had to do with horses. More specifically, Marion wanted to visit with the Budweiser Clydesdales who take residence in Warm Springs Ranch, Missouri. The ranch normally is not open to visitors until April, but for Marion they made an exception. She got to spend the day visiting with the 70 Clydesdales that are kept on the ranch at Warm Springs Ranch.
For Marion, her love of horses started as a young child. She got her first pony at the age of 7. Since then, she fell deeply in love with horses. As a teenager, she became a trick horse rider for a rodeo.
Meeting with the Budweiser Clydesdales was no exception. She felt an instant connection to the majestic animals, and spent the afternoon bonding with some of them!
Marion said that she is now happier than ever after getting a chance to fulfill one of her life-long dreams of meeting the Budweiser Clydesdales!
