An abandoned puppy in the Florida Everglades was suffering so bad that his body started to shut down. It seemed as though the puppy’s life was over. His life changed for the better after the police showed up on the scene.
The police officers showed the puppy kindness, and he began to respond. They gave the dog treats and petted him. They realized that the dog was in serious condition and was in need of urgent medical attention.
The dog’s condition was so serious that he could not even walk on his own. The officers took the dog to Dezzy’s Second Chance Animal Rescue. They named the dog Powder, and he was diagnosed with tropia, which is an eye condition.
He will need to have surgery, but the doctors have stated that he is too sick to get surgery right now. Powder is also being treated for worms and mange.
The dog has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He will also need to be neutered before he can be adopted by a family. Sandra Dezelan is the founder of Dezzy’s Second Chance Animal Rescue. She encourages anyone who can send a donation to help Powder to do so.
