A woman in Arizona was attacked for saying “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas.” While working outside of Walmart as a bell ringer for Salvation Army, Kristina Vindiola was assaulted by a woman who was offended by the phrase.
The lady looked at me,” Vindiola says. “I thought she was going to put money in the kettle. She came up to me and said, ‘Do you believe in God?’ And she says, ‘You’re supposed to say Merry Christmas,’ and that’s when she hit me.”
Walmart managers called the police when Vindiola told them a woman had hit her in the arm. “She should’ve just been happy I said ‘Happy Holidays,’ but I got hit because I didn’t say ‘Merry Christmas” Review of the surveillance videos determined there is not enough evidence to press charges against the attacker, but Vindiola will be taking legal action.
Perhaps the woman’s anger is the result of the “War on Christmas?”
