It appears that Chris Heben may be to the fringe political Right what the Rev. Al Sharpton is to the Left: a charlatan. Heben honorably served in the US Navy’s elite fighting force called the SEALS over a ten year period starting in 1996. Since that time, he has earned a reputation as a noted Obama critic and motivational speaker on the basis of his military service.
Things changed on March 31st of this year. That is when a car load of gang banging black hoodlums fired upon him for being white. The single round that struck him pierced his abdomen. Nevertheless, the John Wayne in him gave them pursuit until the injuries overcame him. This incident fanned racial tensions among whites angry over reverse-racism which made him a darling in ultra-right-wing circles.
He gave appearances on Fox News, World Net Daily, and other news outlets. CNN, which has never vetted Hillary Clinton over her myriad of falsehoods over the Benghazi cover up, applied some journalistic prowess against conservative Heben and found his account of the events could not be corroborated.
Police investigators were likewise unable to piece together the events of that fateful night. Though their initial investigation focused on finding the three thugs who assaulted Heben, the investigation ended up focusing on the ex-SEAL himself. In the end, they arrested him for making a false statement about the attack and obstructing justice. The only thing that can be confirmed is that he was shot in the stomach, and it did not take place where he claims it did.
