In this adorable clip, a young mother retires her two toddler sons to their respective cribs. She has a camera installed to record their activity. As she’s leaving, one of the boys is seen reaching out for her while crying. The other son merely gazes on pensively. No sooner does the door close then the pensive child raise up a leg over the gate of the crib and starts his descent downward. The child has all the mastery of an acrobat as he lowers himself down to the floor.
His activity quiets the other child who looks on at his brother’s new found freedom. He too begins attempting to get out of his crib. It’s at that moment when the child on the floor starts to open the door and hears his brother rattle the crib. He quickly turns to his brother and alerts him to the need of being quiet. Presumably, he does not want his mother to break up their fun.
He finally opens the door and watches his mother pass on by. He follows after her at which time his crib bound brother also successfully lowers himself from the crib and walks into the hallway. His mother is then overhead asking him what he is up to.
As the mother re-enters the room somewhat peeved, she asks the boys if they have let themselves out of their cribs.
As they dither about trying to regain her attention, she repeats out loud that it looks like the boys have officially outgrown their cribs and are ready for big boy beds. It’s a precious moment that a parent experiences only once in the life of a child.
