Her 3-Year-Old Was In The Bathroom Too Long, Mom Investigates – What She Finds Is HILARIOUS!

Kids often say some really wild things. If you’re a parent, you probably find yourself baffled by the topics or phrases your child might babble off about throughout a day. It’s no shock, however. The world is a strange and unfamiliar new place to children, so naturally they react with bewildering commentary. And they have no screen or filter as to what comes out of their little mouths. If they feel the need to say something, they say it without any second thoughts or reservations at all. Which can be a beautiful way of communication.

One mother realized that she hadn’t heard from her three year-old in a little while, which was unusual. He had been in the bathroom  for several minutes and was being suspsciously quiet. This, of course, concerned her and prompted her to take a look. Once she got inside the bathroom, she saw her youngster casually on the toilet, reading. That’s not all he did, however. He placed the book down on the ground repeatedly in intervals of 10 seconds, using his left hand to grab the toilet seat and striking his own head with his right hand over and over and over again. The behavior was alarming to his mother. She’d never before witnessed her son doing anything like this before. She asked him if he was okay, observing that he’d been in the bathroom for much longer than usual. The young boy, Billy, responded that he was indeed okay and that he simply just hadn’t yet gone “number two.” The mother was relieved and left her little boy to his business.

She couldn’t resist asking him, however, what he’d been hitting his head was about. Billy quickly responded, telling her that the tactic was effective for getting ketchup to come out. Why wouldn’t it work for poop too? It’s an age old trick: turn a bottle upside down and hit the bottom until it starts pouring out. Billy’s observation, while astute, is obviously not a real poop strategy. But it is utterly hilarious and endearing that he imagined it that way. Billy’s couldn’t stop laughing for a gvery long while after the comment.

The best part about this situation is after little Billy made his comment he probably had no idea what his mom was laughing about. To him, the ketchup bottle rationale made complete sense, which is why this story is so refreshingly sincere. Who knows … Maybe Billy is on to something here. I’ve never tried using my body like a ketchup bottle, maybe it truly does work. Why don’t you go ahead and try it. Let us know how that turns out…
