VIDEO: Never Again Will You Be Annoyed By Mosquitos If You Just Make This Simple Trap

Let’s face it, mosquitoes are one of the worst parts of any summer. Instead of buying harsh chemical sprays that could be potentially harmful, Daniela of lifebump.com points us all to a simple Youtube video showing the easiest and most effective homemade solution to mosquitoes.

It’s simple! You just need an empty plastic two liter bottle, a quarter cup of brown sugar, a cup of warm water, and a quarter teaspoon of yeast.

First, use your sharpest serrated knife and cut the top third off of the two liter bottle. This will leave you with a large bottom, and the top will be like a small funnel. Next, measure out your brown sugar and plop it in the bottom of the bottle. Then, add your warm water, and finally the quarter teaspoon of yeast.

The mixture of these ingredients is irresistable to mosquitoes, and they’ll fly right towards it as soon as they can sense it. This is the bait.

The trap is very simple, and takes advantage of the mosquitoes’ lack of navigational skills. Take the top half of the bottle, turn it upside down so the tip is downward, and push it into the bottom of the bottle until the two edges meet. Make sure the tip of the bottle top doesn’t dip into the yeasty mixture.

That’s it! The bugs will fly in, but then be completely incapable of flying out due to the mosquito’s physiology. Take it with you on trips and be bite-free!
