VIDEO: When Pastor Made Of Ellen For Being A Lesbian, He NEVER Expected Her To Do THIS

Comic Ellen DeGeneres is known for her wise cracks and her constant ability to bring a smile to virtually anyone’s face. With Ellen’s light hearted humor and rapid fire jokes, it’s hard not to watch her show and allow at least a few smiles to creep on you – almost as if you’re watching an old friend perform her stand-up comedy bit.

And even when people are coming at her with negativity, harsh rumors and a bleak outlook on reality, she doesn’t defend herself with fighting words, slams or threats. Instead, Ellen uses her best known weapon – her sense of humor.

A pastor by the name of Larry Tomczak had recently slammed Ellen saying that she “celebrates her lesbianism and ‘marriage’ in between appearances of guests like Taylor Swift to attract young girls,” in his column for the Christian Post. His main message was to talk about the “avalanche of gay programming” that seems to be “assaulting” Christian homes around the nation.

In turn, Ellen didn’t take offense to this or let it get to her, nor did she ignore the matter. Taking to her talk show, she gave Larry a shout out and was allowed to put in her own two cents about the issue. “Larry I don’t even know what it means to celebrate my lesbianism,” Ellen began, “Larry, the only way I’m trying to influence people is to be more kind and compassionate with one another. That is the message I’m sending out. I don’t have an agenda. I’m not here to brainwash anybody.”

It just goes to show that negativity doesn’t need to be fought with negativity, or fought at all. Some kind words can go a long way.
