Hialeah, Florida – A man who wishes to remain anonymous has filed a lawsuit against the Palm Springs Hospital for an alleged incident of sexual molestation. The incident occurred at a time that the patient was sedated following complaints he had of back pain. The victim, who goes by the name of “John Doe”, noticed that a male hospital staff began fondling his private parts. Unable to defend himself or call out for help, he set his smartphone on video record and placed it by his shoulder.
The video catches 51-year-old ER Technician Rene Martinez in the act of uncovering the victim’s genitalia and fondling it twice. After the first recorded incident, he stops as he hears other hospital staff approaching. Once he realizes he is safe, he again molests the victim. Obviously, Martinez has a sexual deviancy. The fact that he would molest a complete stranger suggests that he is the class of sexual deviant who is a risk taker IE a predator.
Sexual deviancy, despite the ignominious stigma it carries in society, is very treatable with modern psychotherapy resulting in the lowest rate of recidivism of any category of crime at under 4%. That said, a predator does not fall into that low rate of recidivism.
As for John Doe, he is making the hospital financially responsible for the decisions of Martinez. The victim did not seek the police immediately because of trauma he endured from early childhood sexual abuse. At this time, he still shaken up from the incident with Martinez. As for the perp, he’s lawyered up and prepared to defend himself. He denies any wrongdoing.
