I Can’t Believe Scientists Filmed This For The First Time Ever. This Is So STRANGE

In Mount Kinabalu, located at the Southern Asian part of Boreno island, some BBC filmmakers came across a large red worm called a giant red leech. This leech had come upon a 70cm( 27.5 inches) blue worm after picking up the scent. BBC filmmaker Paul Williams, filmed some footage of the red leech for the nature series, Wonders of the Monsoon. The series follows creatures living in areas susceptible to monsoons.

The red leech slithered along the length of the blue worm, and when he got to the end,the red leech started to suck the blue worm into his body. The front part of the giant red leech arched up as he continued to suction the blue worm into his body.

The blue worm tried to fight back, realizing he was midway into his raptor’s body. His other end started to shake and writhe its way out of his attacker’s body, but it was too late. The red worm slurped the blue worm down. Ironically, the red worm was 50cm(19 inches). The victim being much larger than the predator is certainly something that makes this an especially unusual video.

The BBC team spent several weeks in the forest before they found any lifeforms to film. It wasn’t until after a heavy rain storm, that the production team was able to spot the red leeches and worms starting the roam the forests. Little is known about the giant red leech, but that is about to change.
