Are people actually able to train and communicate with their cats? The gentleman in this video has proven that he can train his cat and that cats are as equally quick- witted as other animals.
The video opens with a deaf man sitting at a table with food in his hands. The cat in question is sitting next to the man’s left side. The cat has seen that the man has food and gently touches the man’s forearm with his paw once to alert the man that he would like to eat. When the cat gets the man’s attention, the cat brings his paw to his own face and motions in a circular pattern for food.
What is amazing about this video is one can actually see the learning process between the man and his cat. During the last part of the video, the cat asks for food by putting his paw on the man’s arm but does not complete the gesture with the sign language. The man gestures to his own face with the gesture and the cat complies and is rewarded with food.
The video ends with the man and cat still sharing their meal. This cat has proven that animals are able to think, react, and act upon reactions from their human counterparts.
