On July 9th the town of Vassar, Michigan had a town hall meeting to discuss the possibility of housing more than 100 immigrant children in a nearby youth facility. National media has tried and convicted these children without any sort of trial, or logic, and the people of Vassar continued this fine tradition.
There have been many claims regarding these children. Some people have said they are being purposefully infected with unknown diseases in order to spread sickness to Americans. Others have said that these children are being brought into the country to incite fear. The President has been accused of being a domestic terrorist. At the town hall meeting, though, the situation only got worse.
Land mines, which are deadly and dangerous, were the suggested idea to deal with these children. Laws were quoted, and national pride invoked, to justify using deadly force against children seeking asylum. The idea for using land mines was proposed by a former marine, one Terry Mocny.
In a country where the moral majority is pro life and Christian, the very idea of using land mines and incarceration to deal with children should be reprehensible. But this idea was trotted out by the very people who should be against it.
