VIDEO: Dozens Of Dolphins Nearly Die But What Happens At the 00:58 Mark Is Shocking

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – Five years ago, a school of dolphins ran ashore. It is a phenomenon that occurs with certain sea mammals from time to time and it isn’t understood what causes the incidents to occur. Normally, the occurrence would have made headlines under a tragic caption such as “30 Dolphins Get Beached and Die”.

Thankfully, that was not the case this time around. Bystanders who witnessed the mammals fighting for their lives on the lovely sands of this popular world destination, took no thought for themselves as they grabbed the gentle creatures by their tails and dragged them into deeper waters.

The video was startling as it literally captured the moment when the school of dolphins swam in with the tide and found themselves in very shallow water. Immediately, many of them were seen thrashing in the waters in attempts to swim back out to sea, but the tide was against them and the waters too shallow for them to swim in. From the camera’s periphery, crowds of people came to into focus as they must have rushed to the site to witness the singular event.

Several men quickly ran to the aid of the dolphins and began tugging or nudging them in attempts to push them to deeper water. One by one, people towed the dolphins by their tails to waist high water at which time the dolphins would swim out to sea. In the span of three minutes, all of the dolphins were safely in the water once more. The rescuers then received a well-earned applause from those witnessing their heroics.
