America has come a long way when it comes to discussing mental health issues. However, there is still a lot of progress that needs to be made. A classic example of that is what happened when Aaron Hernandez committed suicide.

Despite the fact that this is a tragedy, there are people who are still making jokes about it. Aaron Hernandez was serving a life sentence in jail after he was convicted of murder in 2013.

Twitter users made memes about Aaron’s suicide. However, Aaron’s suicide is no laughing matter. There were many circumstances surrounding Aaron’s suicide, but suicide should never be a joking matter. It is estimated that 44,000 people die by suicide each year. This is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States. Suicide rates have increased by 24 percent within the past 15 years.

It is important for people with mental health issues to get the help that they need. They are less likely to commit suicide if they get the help that they need. What Aaron did while he was alive is inexcusable. However, his death is still tragic. If we do not talk about mental health issues, then we are doing a disservice to people who suffer from these conditions.
