A young girl from North Carolina shot back at Pat McCroy on Monday after the Governor called her a “prob” for those effected by voter suppression laws.
Madison Kimrey came into the spotlight after she protested in front of the Governors mansion to oppose the new law surrounding voter suppression.
This new law takes away the number of early voting days and takes away the right of 16/17 year olds who have the right of pre-registration.
At the time of this protest the Governer’s staff mocked Madison by offering her a cake through the gates.
The Governor said this stunt was manufactured this stunt of Madison protesting and refused to take her seriously.
McCroy said “This is very liberal groups using children as props to push a very far-left agenda.”
Madison shot back “I am not a prop! I am part of the new generation of suffragettes and I will not stand silent while laws are passed to reduce the amount of voter turnout by young people in my home state.”
