Is This The Final Straw For Obamacare?

The open enrollment period on Healthcare.gov ended Monday but achieved seven million participants. But administration officials say you can still sign up for health care during a “special enrollment” period.

The site was hit by over a million visitors in the last day of enrollment, causing it to expreience a few glitches. The federal site was down for 6 hours on Monday, and when it was up again, users were placed in a “virtual waiting room” blocking new accounts.

The Republicans have been blaming the Affordable Care Act for destroying the economy, but enrollment surpassed all predictions as the last surge of people logged into the website to check if they qualified for subsidies and lower healthcare costs.

Vice President Joe Biden says “I think everyone is going to be surprised and pleased at how this has turned out.” He later told a school in Washington, “You are going to be better off for it. The country is going to be better off for it.”
