You’ll Feel Sick After You Hear Why Rush Limbaugh Claims Robin Williams Committed Suicide

Rush Limbaugh has tweaked the political Left yet again by his analysis of the Robin Williams suicide. Speaking on the air of his radio program, the most widely listened to talk radio program for over two decades, he said that part of actor Robin Williams’ mindset that contributed to his suicide was a leftist view of the world.

Limbaugh noted that the political Left, noted for their lack of humor, has a very cynical view of America. The Left often complains that the American dream is merely illusive since it has not applied to everyone. They claim that America has made the world worse or is unworthy of greatness due to its struggles over racism and discrimination.

Limbaugh believes these negative views did nothing to help the aging actor cope with his severe depression. His comments included details from a Fox News story that Williams had what is known as survivor’s guilt. Three of his good friends died early and he felt guilty for having lived. They were actor John Belushi, Andy Kaufman, and Christopher Reeves. Perhaps it was the death of Christopher Reeves that hit Williams the hardest.

When survivors guilt was coupled with a fundamentally negative Leftist prism, Limbaugh opined it did nothing to counter the depression. Williams was also said to be struggling financially amidst a declining acting career. For his part, Limbaugh has taken the stand that suicide is not something to be glorified or dignified. He was referring in part to words by a published psychiatrist that suicide is an act of selflessness rather than selfishness.
