Last week on The Daily Show, host John Stewart discussed Hobby Lobby and their case which will go before the Supreme Court regarding birth control and Obamacare.
A spokesperson says, the government needs to consider Hobby Lobby’s religious view that contraceptives are agents that cause abortion.
“The new health care law requires companies to offer insurance that includes free birth control. Religious employers across the country started filing lawsuits, they said that violates our religious beliefs. The Court agreed to decide that issue in a case involving Hobby Lobby — it’s a nation-wide chain of craft supply stores.”- CBS
Hobby Lobby’s owners, David and Barbara Green say their company is a family-run business based on Biblical principles. To this, Stewart says “That’s ah, based on Biblical principles. I’m a little rusty on the New Testament, but where in the Bible does it mention craft stores?”
