VIDEO: Foxnews Anchor Just Made A Sexist Claim That Made Me Sick. FIRE THEM

Fox correspondents are no stranger to controversy. Over the years, the conservative news network, has dealt with their fair share of scandals due to things that were said on the air. Kimberly Guifoyle, one of the co-hosts on The Five, set the media world ablaze when she suggested young woman shouldn’t vote.

During the show Tuesday, co-host Greg Gutfield suggested that young woman lack the experience needed to make an informed decision. He stated that democrats remained in power because the young and ill-informed were voting in droves. Guifoyle furthered the point by suggesting that young women should be excused from their civic duty and, instead, remain on Tinder and Match.com.

Guifoyle’s rant was directly tied to Gutfield’s suggestion that being married, having children and “paying bills”, were necessary for a young woman to actively grasp the issues that face the American public. Guifoyle furthered her statement by taking aim at the judicial system, suggesting that young women simply didn’t “get it”, and didn’t belong on juries.

The rant has alienated a large and rather important demographic of voters. Young women, as they become more educated, spend more time in school, and live independent lives outside of marriage, have become an important voter pool.

While it is true that women in this voter pool largely vote for democrats over republicans, experts suggest arguing that these young women are ill-informed will do little to actually help the republican party garner more votes.
