Knowing how to handle both a jewel thief and Popsicle connoisseur comes with the territory at one particular home with all signs pointing to Tucker the family dog. Ten year old Tucker is a typical family pet and there’s nothing he won’t get into while at home with his family. He’s well known for his sometimes comical antics; however, this latest escapade made him the talk of the neighborhood.
Being spoiled rotten and conniving as well, he eagerly stole into a box of Popsicles one summer morning as Lois, his human mommy, and her little granddaughter were playing in the yard. Chewing away on the Popsicle and the little wooden stick inside the treat, Tucker went at the delicious Popsicle with a vengeance.
Things got a little ugly from there on when after two days, Tucker began vomiting and couldn’t stop his stomach wrenching. However, a pleasant surprise awaited Lois in the doggie puke afterwards. Five years earlier, her wedding ring mysteriously disappeared from the house. Despite endless searching, nothing turned up for Lois and she went without her cherished ring from that day on. Now, several years later, she suddenly had it back in a piece of paper towel–in tact and shiny as ever.
Tucker’s veterinarian concluded the Popsicle’s wooden stick dislodged the ring from somewhere inside Tucker and brought it back up into Lois’s possession. All is forgiven at the homestead once again as Tucker continues to jump for his Frisbee and plunge into more Popsicle treats; this time minus the stick of course.
