Health and fitness professionals recommend starting one’s day off with a nutritious breakfast. However, many people lack the time to prepare a nutritious breakfast. Fortunately, you can prepare your oatmeal at night, and it will be ready for you when you wake up in the morning. You will need 1/3 cup of rolled oats, one teaspoon of chia seeds, a 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of almond milk for the oatmeal.
You can also experiment with different flavors of oatmeal, such as carrot cake, blueberry lemon, chocolate strawberry, pina coloda and banana nut crunch. In order to make the carrot cake oatmeal, you will need 1/4 cup of shredded carrot, one tablespoon maple syrup, two teaspoons of chopped pecans and one teaspoon of cinnamon.
You will need one teaspoon of blueberry jam, 1/2 teaspoon of lemon rind, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/4 cup of blueberry for blueberry lemon oatmeal. You will need one teaspoon of honey, one teaspoon of natural nut butter, two teaspoons of chopped walnuts and 1/2 sliced banana for banana nut oatmeal. Chocolate strawberry oatmeal requires one teaspoon of honey, one teaspoon of cocoa powder, one teaspoon of chocolate shavings and 1/4 cup of hulled and sliced strawberries.
You will need one teaspoon of honey, one teaspoon of shredded coconut, one teaspoon of slivered almonds and 1/4 cup of diced pineapples for the pina coloda oatmeal. All recipes require that you place all of the ingredients inside of a jar and shake well. Refrigerate overnight.
