VIDEO: He Went On Her Show To Sing A Happy Song, Instead He Ended Up In Tears. WOW

In an emotionally filled interview with Oprah singer Pharrell Williams shared the path that his hit song “Happy” took to the top of the charts.

During the interview Williams tells Oprah that when the song was first released that it received no airplay at all. However after the release of the video for the song Williams described the success of the song as “boom” (imitating a explosion sound to represent the move to popularity of his song into worldwide status seemingly over night).

According to the interview after the release of the original video, fans began making videos using the song all over the world. In fact Williams described the event by saying that it was like the “song was not his anymore.”

Oprah complied videos of people dancing to the song happy from Slovakia, Prague, Taiwan, The Philippines, and several other locations around the world.

At the end of the video copulation singer Williams broke down into tears, while Oprah attempted to comfort him by saying that she “cried too.” Oprah went on further to say that she did not believe that Williams’ Grandmother could have imagined the success of the video. Oprah said of the video that it is “being used for a greater purpose” than Williams his self.

Describing his tears Williams says, he loves what he does and the success of his song is “overwhelming” because of all the people who believed in him could not even imagine the success of the song.

In closing Oprah says she now understands why the song is “infectious” saying of the song that it came from such a clear place from inside of Williams.
