A house fire ruined a home and a family. After the devastation of a significant fire, the inhabitants of the home left in search of somewhere better. Unfortunately they knowingly left behind a member of their family, a pit bull named Popeye.
A couple of weeks passed since the fire, but that family never returned for the dog. Fortunately for Popeye someone called Hope for Paws, a non-profit animal rescue agency, and probably saved his life. When help arrived they were fully prepared for the dog to be scared, unwilling to come, and possibly violent. Instead Popeye walked up to his rescuers like an old friend.
After the horrible ordeal that he went through: a dangerous fire, abandonment, and hunger; Popeye was still willing to give humans another chance. He is now at a pit bull only adoption agency called It’s The Pits.
He is looking for a new home and a second chance at love. Pit bulls are often stereotyped as being violent and having a bad temperament, but one thing that Popeye has taught us is that is not true.
Pit bulls are like another other dog that need taught how to act with love, hopefully Popeye’s heartwarming story can help others just like him get adopted into good homes as well.
