VIDEO: He Said WHAT Is A Christian Value? This Man Has Some Issues

Certain conservatives have been adamant that torture as an interrogation method is constitutional and has great value. One such conservative is the American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer.

During his radio program he not only claimed that the method was constitutional but that it was a “Christian Value.” Fischer continued, claiming that torture is not covered under the Geneva Convention, even though the founders in 1791 were against such methods.

“They have no legal rights anywhere,” Fischer claimed. “It is true that Mercy is a Christian principle, but when it comes to terrorism that mercy is withdrawn.” Many people, however, believe that this idea is at best, very twisted. Some feel that it is appalling how far some who call themselves Christians have fallen in claiming that this interrogation method is not only constitutional but a “Christian Value.”

Many feel otherwise, including the author of this article. Torture is not an American value. And it is most definitely not a Christian value either. Torture should be forever banned. We should find other ways to interrogate terrorism suspects that does not subject them to torturous methods such as waterboarding. Many individuals, including Christians, believe that Jesus Himself would not condone such actions for our enemies.

The “Christians” that feel that torture is a value Jesus would recommend are very twisted individuals indeed.
