Pit bulls get an unfairly bad rap in today’s culture. Many people believe these dogs are vicious by nature, and should never be allowed near children. However, a two-year old pit bull named Akamara has proven that all pit bulls are not the dangerous monsters they’re made out to be. Akamara’s owners also have a baby named Siegmond, who was born in November 2014.
Siegmond first met Akamara a few days after his birth. And while the owners have never allowed Akamara to be alone with Siegmond, they do not believe that the pit bull would do anything to harm the baby. She enjoys snuggling with the baby and will even try to sleep with the little human.
The only reason parents will not allow Akamara to be alone with the baby is because he is still too small, but the parents know that Akamara cannot help but try to cuddle with the baby because it just her animal nature.
Akamara is an American Pit Bull Terrier. According to the United Kennel Club, American Pit Bull Terriers are great for families are known for being loving to children. They also make bad guard dogs because they are too friendly. In fact, many people even claim that they are even friendlier than golden retrievers.
