I Could Not Believe This Would Work, But I Will Never Hard-boil An Egg Any Other Way Ever Again

Hard boiled eggs can be a very difficult dish to perfect. If you cook them for too long, the yolks turn gray in color and do not look very appetizing. It is often hard to peel the shells away from the whites of the egg, resulting in a huge mess in the kitchen.

Struggling with egg shells will be a distant memory thanks to this genius life hack. Eggs can be baked in the oven with no water, resulting in perfectly hard boiled eggs. All you need to achieve this is an oven, a muffin tin, eggs, a spoon, and a large bowl of ice water.

Begin by preheating the oven to 325 degrees. While the oven is preheating, place one egg into each section of the muffin tin. You can cook just a few eggs or several dozen, depending on how many you need. Once the oven is preheated, place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, fill a large bowl or pot with cold water and add several ice cubes.

Once the eggs are done cooking, immediately remove them from the muffin tin with a spoon and place them directly into the ice water. Allow them to sit in the ice water for a minute, then remove the cooled eggs from the bowl. Crack and peel the shells off of the eggs and they are ready to eat as is or to be used in your favorite recipe.
