With recent terrorist attacks and political turmoil, there seems to be no end to the bad news we hear on a daily basis. The world appears to be crueler than ever. The inspiring photographs below feature 12 amazing kids that are doing their best to help their fellow man. As children, there isn’t much they can do to stop a Brexit or end war in the Middle East, but the fact that they are willing to do right with what they have gives hope for the future.
1. Brotherly love is always appreciated, and this 8-year-old is full of it. Noah loves sports, and when he decided to compete in a local Triathlon, he wanted his disabled brother beside him the whole way. Mustering all his strength, Noah completed each round with his precious brother in tow.
2. A young boy in Bangladesh fights through roaring flood waters to save a drowning baby deer. Even as his own life and home were being threatened, he still finds kindness in his heart. His heroic sacrifice is more than appreciated by the fawn.
3. Hunger is a growing problem worldwide. People die of starvation on a daily basis while 40% of our food production goes to waste. This little boy knows hardship when he sees it, which is why he decided to save up his own lunch money to feed the homeless.
4. Thousands of animal fall victim to neglect and abandonment, but this little boy decided it was time to step up. At just 9 years old, this amazing child opened up a no-kill animal shelter right in his own garage.
5. This 8-year-old boy was bullied by his peers while growing out his hair for 2 years. Little did they know, he had great intentions. After his hair was finally cut short, his luscious blonde locks were used to make wigs for young cancer patients.
6. Barely able to walk, this baby spots a struggling bunny rabbit. He quickly waddles over to give the bunny a lift. Although it is only a statue, his sweet gesture is heartwarming.
7. A Japanese baby is seen drying the tears of a man on the television screen while sucking on a pink pacifier. Her compassion can definitely serve as a lesson for world leaders everywhere.
8. A 3-year-old toddler is just beginning to learn the struggles of our world. When she asks her mother why another little girl was bald, her mother explained to her the effects of cancer. The little girl then decides to share some of her own hair.
9. Westboro Baptist Church is known for spewing hate speech, but 9-year-old Josef Miles has had enough. He makes his mother proud while holding up a small sign that reads, “God hates no one.”
10. Mumbai is prone to some pretty nasty storms during the monsoon season. When a young girl spots a soaked and scared pup sitting in the rain, she shares her umbrella to comfort him. Sharing is caring, folks.
11. At just 13, this young baseball player saved his coach’s life. After the man collapsed to floor the boy had to act fast. He administered CPR all while calling 911 for help.
12. Being homeless during the winter can be deadly, especially in Canada where temperatures often fall bellow 0 degrees. These generous kiddos decided to help out by attaching winter coats on light poles all around town to keep the less fortunate warm.
