Having a pet can be one of the most rewarding experiences. We form bonds with our animals that last, even after they are gone. There are different types of pets for different kinds of people. Some owners want to cuddle with a furry friend and make him a part of the family. Others are content to have a companion to observe in its environment from afar but still enjoy the responsibility of feeding and keeping it safe.
Erik Kopperud has adopted a unique friend for life in his baby goose, Brian Gosling. Kopperud is an avid outdoorsman and has taken Brian all over the world on his travels. Brian has eagerly adapted to every surrounding and circumstance with all of the charm and cuteness he can muster in that tiny little goose body.
Kopperud has captured his adventures with Brian in some wonderfully adorable pictures. This just goes to show that even a goose can be man’s best friend.
In the daytime hours, with the sun brilliantly shining off of the lake, Brian is photographed taking a dip in the water. His furry feathers are matted down flat. Upon waddling on to shore, Brian gives a nice long shake, from head to toe, clearing all of his feathers of liquid. Within in moments he is back to his fabulously furry self.
Brian has now decided it is time for a mid-morning cuddle with his favorite pal Kopperud. Brian climbs between his dad’s bare feet, perhaps to warm up or just for a hug.
In an impressive action shot, Kopperud must have had to lay low to the ground to capture Brian running towards him, wings flapping out beside him. The sun creates a soft silhouette around Brian, making him appear to glow a bright white.
Kopperud has captured beautiful close-ups of Brian, showing off all of his yellow and black coloring while he lounges in his owner’s hand. Brian can also be seen relaxing on a boat, waiting patiently on a towel as his dad enjoys a drink at a tavern or taking a stroll while nestled inside Kopperud’s shirt pocket.
It is clear from the photos that Kopperud has developed a special affection for Brian. Brian also seems to be quite happy with his adopted dad and is content to go along with him wherever his adventures take them.
